$500K of Goods Stolen from Alex Rodriguez's vehicle in San Francisco

A rental vehicle being used by ESPN baseball analyst Alex Rodriguez was broken into Sunday night, and Rodriguez said several items of a personal and sentimental nature were stolen.

"It's an unfortunate situation", ESPN told CNN in a statement. "We're working with local authorities to address it", an ESPN spokesperson said.

"I am encouraged that local law enforcement has security footage of the crime and are doing all they can to get the items back", Rodriguez said. The thief made off with a camera, laptop, bag and various pieces of jewelry, totaling $500,000 of worth.

In regard to an incident involving Rodriguez, police tell ET that "on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 11:10 p.m.an auto burglary occurred on the 400 block of Brannan Street".
