Introducing Nintendo Switch Lite - a compact, lightweight console that's dedicated to handheld play!

The Switch Lite will launch in Canada on September 20, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $259.99.

A limited edition Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian & Zamazenta Edition console will also launch on November 8 to celebrate the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield games - this version will feature cyan and magenta buttons, and illustrations of the two new Legendary Pokémon.

After months and months and months and months and months of credible rumors, Nintendo this morning confirmed that the Switch Mini is real in a short video announcement. It does not have a kickstand, nor does it support output to TVs.

The latest variant of the Switch will still have a headphone port but no Bluetooth headset support, which is a bummer for players who wish to connect wireless headphones on their console. Nintendo notes that there will be support for all existing Switch titles, although some games will have restrictions. "It loses a bit in screen real estate, with 5.5" across instead of 6.2" across. Nintendo has clarified that the back-of-box information for physical games, or Nintendo's website, will say if this is the case.
