German Chancellor Angela Merkel once again visibly suffered a shaking spell while she received Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne here on Wednesday.

Merkel began shaking at a reception Wednesday for Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne outside the chancellery in Berlin, her third such incident in less than one month. Cameras also appeared to capture several people curiously observing Merkel. Then, she said it was the result of not drinking enough water.

A source close to the government had said the cause of the repeat shaking was now psychological, with memories of the first incident provoking renewed trembling at events with similar settings. DW correspondent Fabian von der Mark said: "Angela Merkel has a reputation for being in very good physical conditions - she has hardly missed a day due to illness". NBC reported Germany has "strict privacy laws regarding personal medical information". "I said recently that I am in a phase of processing the last military honours with President Zelenskiy".

"This is obviously not completed but I have made progress and will have to live with this for a while". It is not publicly known if Merkel has any health problems.

Merkel refused to answer further questions Wednesday, telling reporters who pressed the issue that "my comments on this are done today".

On June 27 she gripped her trembling arms and pursed her lips at a ceremony in Berlin - nine days after footage emerged of her shaking for a whole minute.
