A$AP Rocky has been held in a Swedish jail for nearly a week now and it's just come out that he's been held in some harsh conditions.

The rapper, real name Rakim Meyers, is sleeping on a yoga mat without blankets and is housed in a cell next to a man with mental health issues who bangs his head against the wall and throws faeces "every which way", it is claimed.

As previously reported, Rocky was taken into police custody in Stockholm, Sweden for his involvement in a street fight almost two weeks ago.

Sweden's Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by United States rapper ASAP Rocky against his detention over a Stockholm street brawl despite his lawyer's plea that the star was not a flight risk and protests by fans and leading hip-hop stars. TMZ reports, "Our sources say Rocky asked for the meeting, but when an official from the American Consulate arrived at the detention center to meet him but was squarely denied access-a clear violation of the treaty". Food is inedible, water is polluted and the facility is "disease ridden", presumably leading A$AP to only be fed with an apple a day for his first five days in the facility, TMZ continues. In a video, one of the men appears to hurl a pair of headphones at Rocky's security guard, after the team continuously request (and later warn) the men to stop pursuing the group.

At least five dead in Taliban blast in Afghan city
The Taliban now control almost half of Afghanistan and are more powerful than at any time since the October 2001 US-led invasion. Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said on Twitter that he looked "forward to a constructive dialogue".

A$AP reportedly voluntarily gave himself up to the police, and was immediately arrested and kept in solitary confinement "with no visit or phone call privileges". A video of the fight circulated the internet which showed one of those men catching a beatdown over the incident and if convicted, Rocky faces up to six years in a Swedish prison.

Via the A$AP Mob Instagram account, a link to the petition was posted.

The lawyer told AFP on Monday his client subsequently chose to appeal to Sweden's Supreme Court.
