Spanish football giants Real Madrid announced the transfer of Belgian star Eden Hazard late Friday.

The Belgian playmaker has signed a six-year contract with the club and will be unveiled in Real Madrid white on Thursday, subject to a medical.

"Real Madrid and Chelsea have agreed to the transfer of the player Eden Hazard", read Madrid's statement. Subsequently, the English club will receive another €30 million as bonuses.

Despite Madrid's terrible last campaign, he could hardly be joining a team better versed in landing Europe's elite competition, which they have won a record 13 times.

Hazard will join Serbian striker Luka Jovic, Brazilian defender Eder Militao and forward Rodrygo Goes as Real's new signings in what promises to be a busy summer at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Belgium talisman leaves having fired 110 goals in 352 appearances at Chelsea - and above all with the full blessing of the club's hierarchy that he so wanted before departing.

"Eden and I have known each other since we are young boys", Benteke said.

The goalkeeper had already sent his global team-mate a message on Twitter, welcoming him to "the best club in the world." .

Eden Hazard who is a Belgian Professional footballer, will be now known as a former player of Chelsea Football club.

"Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and toughest decision in my career".

The Belgium global has been at the centre of transfer speculation for most of the last year as he prepared to enter the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea has paid tribute to Hazard, who joined from French side Lille in 2012.

The goalkeeper is now on worldwide duty with his new Los Blancos teammate, and the former Atletico Madrid man feels that Hazard will prove vital in the team's objectives next season.

But Hazard is the gem Zinedine Zidane can build his new team around and brings the kind of stardust Madrid fans have craved ever since the sale of Ronaldo to Juventus last summer.

Hazard's boasted an extraordinary record during his time in London, winning three Premier League titles and winning PFA Player Of The Year in 2015.
