At the same time, local carriers claim they also shipped updates to the base station software and the problem should no longer occur.

Samsung's Galaxy S10 range made the move from rear-mounted fingerprint sensors to an in-screen sensor, and while Duncan didn't mind it in his review, others have remarked about the lack of accuracy and speed. This shouldn't be a surprise as while the S10 and S10+ have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in their display, the S10e has a standard capacitive fingerprint sensor on its side.

It doesn't appear that Samsung is pushing the update out simultaneously to all S10 and S10 Plus devices, which means you'll have to wait for the update to pushed to you when Samsung decides it's ready.

Unfortunately, there's no way to trigger the update manually, so if you've got an S10 or S10+, you'll have to play the waiting game. There's no changelog with the update, so it's not clear what Samsung has done to improve the sensor.

House Passes Net Neutrality Bill, But Senate Likely Will Vote It Down
If the bill "were presented to the President", the White House statement said , "his advisors would recommend that he veto it". Still, the effort to restore net neutrality could give Democrats political points on consumer protections.

According to a Reddit thread, the software update is 6.9MB in size and is listed as a "Biometrics security patch - fingerprint scanner".

Reports from users who've received the updates are positive, but because it's hard to measure the performance, we agree with Android Police's assessment that the placebo effect could be in play here.

The new update also includes the Android security patch for March 2019, a system-wide "Dark Mode" as well as Google's Digital Wellbeing mobile application created to give users a clear view of their daily habits. Of course, the update likely won't do anything to curb malicious efforts to fool the fingerprint sensor.
