Robert Plant, Greta Van Fleet and more confirmed for Woodstock 50

From legendary acts such as Santana, Dead & Company, David Crosby, Country Joe McDonald, and John Fogerty - all of which original performers from Woodstock '69 - to newer acts like Black Keys, Greta Van Fleet, Gary Clark Jr., Halsey, Reignwolf and A-list contemporary icons like Jay-Z, this ought to appeal to fans of all genres, really.

The three-day event, held to commemorate the iconic 1969 music festival, will be held from August 16-18 in Watkins Glen, New York.

"We've lined up artists who won't just entertain but will remind the world that music has the power to bring people together, to heal, to move us to action and to tell the stories of a generation", Michael Lang, producer of Woodstock 50 and a co-founder of the original festival, said in a statement.

Rapper Jay-Z, singer Miley Cyrus and rockers The Killers are among the stars booked to perform at an event marking the 50th anniversary in August of the Woodstock festival, one of popular music's most historic moments.

According to Variety , Hastings said at a press event in Los Angeles, " Apple is a great company. That's separate from the original content Apple has been commissioning.

A few artists on the 2019 lineup, like Santana, Canned Heat and John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, actually played the original Woodstock back in 1969. "Our hope is that today, just as in 1969, music will be the constant that can inspire positive change".

This three-day event to be held in Watkins Glen, New York is separate from one slated for the same weekend at the first festival's site, about 185 kilometers away.
