The rumours linking Hazard with a move to Real Madrid have refused to go away, especially with the Belgian global set to enter the final year of his contract with the Blues.

Jose Mourinho says Zinedine Zidane returning to Real Madrid is "perfect", insisting he is not disappointed about being overlooked. And the concern about the Belgian's future has crept into the training ground, with one Chelsea star declaring his worry.

Some of the Real Madrid players may have lost the hunger they had before their three consecutive Champions League titles, but those in charge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu believe that Zinedine Zidane can refuel their desire.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who is now on a two-year loan at German champions Bayern Munich, has frequently suggested that he is keen to return to his parent club this summer, but Zinedine Zidane's re-appointment as Los Blancos' coach looks to have made that an unlikely eventuality.

Blues' defender Emerson Palmieri has now come out to reveal the fear and panic that has gripped Chelsea dressing room over the possible departure of the Belgian playmaker.

"He (Hazard) shows every day how important he is", Emerson told Sky Sports. "Obviously we have many players of quality in our team but he is on another level, and is one of the best in the world", he added. "Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay".

What that decision is, we don't yet know, but the fact that the brilliant Belgian has still to sign the £300,000 a week contract Chelsea offered him previous year, and shows no sign of doing so soon, gives us a clue.
