Verizon's 5G mobile service launches next month in Chicago and Minneapolis

Verizon started a 5G home broadband and TV service in parts of four cities previous year. The offer is available only on unlimited plans, which now start at $75 for one person or $160 for a family of four without 5G. To use the 5G service at launch, you'll have to pay $50 for "the Verizon-exclusive 5G Moto Mod", which can be attached to a Motorola Moto Z3, a phone that Verizon sells for $480. It requires Motorola's Moto Z3 phone with a special 5G attachment. Even Verizon is using that careful language (it's also the exclusive USA carrier for Samsung's 5G phone for a limited time).

Verizon also announced that its next-generation wireless service will cost $10 more per month on top of its existing unlimited plans. Buying the $85 plan lets a customer use at least 22GB a month before facing possible slowdowns, while the $95 plan comes with 75GB before possible slowdowns.

Nevertheless, 5G will be faster than what's available today and for that, you'll have to pay.

Lewandowski top Bundesliga foreign scorer
Thomas Mueller, Mats Hummels , and Jerome Boateng all started for Bayern, days after being dropped by Germany coach Joachim Loew. Elsewhere, Dortmund slipped to the second place, as their 3-1 win over Stuttgart was not enough to defend the top spot.

Serge Ibaka, Marquese Chriss Squared Off In Wild NBA Fight
Both players were ejected following the fracas and suspensions - probably a more serious one for Ibaka - are likely on the way. And after handling Toronto through the first two-and-a-half quarters, things got a little hairy at the end of the third.

Captain Marvel fights off online trolls with $455m opening weekend
Oh, there will plenty of more chances for Brie to bust out the Captain Marvel tracksuit for more surprise appearances. Captain Marvel raked in a whopping $153 million (£117 million) during its debut weekend in the USA.

Samsung's Galaxy S10 5G, which is a larger, beefier version of the Galaxy S10+ and comes with a fourth rear camera, looks like it could be the first 5G phone for Verizon that won't be a brick in your trousers the way the Moto Z3 with 5G Moto Mod is. If you don't pre-order, the retail price is $349 when it arrives April 11. Verizon told The Verge that in the Windy City, they'll be focusing on service on The Loop near landmarks like Willis Tower, Millennium Park and Union Station as well as in the River North, Gold Coast and Old Town areas. If you already own a Moto Z3, then great! Verizon says it'll flip the switch next month on a much-hyped, next-generation "5G" phone network.

Motorola and Verizon have begun taking pre-orders for the 5G Moto Mod, the addon-accessory for the Moto z3 smartphone introduced a year ago. Verizon is also giving away free Moto z3s to folks who pre-order tomorrow and add a new line of service on a device payment plan, but if you're not looking to add another line, you can upgrade to the z3 for $10 per month on a device payment plan.
