Lewandowski top Bundesliga foreign scorer

Bayern Munich warmed up for Liverpool with a "perfect day" by knocking Borussia Dortmund from the top of the Bundesliga for the first time since September with a 6-0 thrashing of Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Lewandowski has now scored 196 goals in the Bundesliga, passing veteran Peru attacker Claudio Pizarro, who played for Bayern earlier in his career.

Elsewhere, Dortmund slipped to the second place, as their 3-1 win over Stuttgart was not enough to defend the top spot.

Thomas Mueller, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng all started for Bayern, days after being dropped by Germany coach Joachim Loew. Goals from Joshua Kimmich and Lewandowski completed their rout.

The Poland forward also took his tally against Wolfsburg to 20 goals in 17 matches.
