The "simple" cardboard VR set will serve as the fourth kit in the Labo line and offer up six new DIY Toy-Con creations for players to make and enjoy.

The new VR Kit comes in two packages, with the more expensive $80 option including everything in the lineup: Toy-Con VR Goggles, Blaster, Camera, Bird, Wind Pedal, and Elephant - plus a screen holder, safety cap, and game software.

Nintendo is bringing virtual reality to Switch with its new Labo: VR Kit. Curiously, there doesn't appear to be any gameplay footage of the Labo VR Kit's games. The smaller starter kit will cost $40 (~RM163) and the expansion kits will each cost $20 (~RM81).

"We wanted to design an experience that encourages both virtual and real-world interactions among players", Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America's chief, said in a statement Thursday. These goggles will combine with other creations (possibly from past kits) to let players experience a basic form of VR at a low cost.

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit encourages passing around the Toy-Con creations among a group of people so everyone in the room can easily join in on the fun.

The Nintendo Labo: VR Kit - Starter Set + Blaster and complete Nintendo Labo: VR Kit will be available in stores on 12 April. You can also turn off the VR feature and use the included Screen Holder to experience content in 2D.

"With the new Nintendo Labo VR Kit, there's more to Make, Play, and Discover together than ever before", the official website reads.

The kit of very fancy cardboard (as well as the Labo software) will be available April 12.

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit - Expansion Set 1**: Available at a suggested retail price of $19.99, Expansion Set 1 includes the Toy-Con Elephant and Toy-Con Camera.

Don't, however, plan to start playing Nintendo's existing blockbusters like Super Mario Odyssey or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in VR now.
