Both Baker and Cooper did offer some qualified praise for Trump - saying he deserved credit for walking away from a bad deal - but Bolton also revealed, Sunday, that it was Kim Jong Un who "walked away from" a USA offer, not the other way around.

Moon, who has adopted a dovish approach to Pyongyang and brokered the US-North Korea talks process, urged his officials to find out what exactly had gone awry at the high-stakes meeting, and predicted a deal would ultimately be reached. But after the Hanoi talks broke down, he also said he had pressed Kim on other nuclear sites uncovered by American intelligence. "I consider it a success, defined as the president protecting and advancing American national interests", Bolton said on "Face the Nation" Sunday. But the meeting ended abruptly and Trump headed home to Washington earlier than planned.

"We should look into what and how the United States and North Korea see the current situation and we will come up with practical mediation measures", said Kang.

"Sometimes you have to walk and this was just one of those times", an unusually downcast Trump told reporters on Thursday, adding that he would "rather do it right than do it fast".

"I think Kim had all authority to do that". Kim will be able to portray himself to his people and supporters as the charismatic head of a nuclear-armed power, not an worldwide pariah that starves its citizens so it can build weapons.

The sentiment was reiterated by Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, who placed an emphasis that Trump was walking away from a 'bad deal'.

"The President takes him (Kim) at his word", Mr Bolton told Tapper. "That's what matters, not my view".

"I didn't think this [summit] went well for the president at all, more importantly for the USA national security", he said.

No sweat! Defensive lineman sets 40-yard dash record at NFL Combine
Sweat, who measures 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, recorded the fastest 40-yard dash time of any defensive lineman in Combine history. The fact that a guy as big and cut as Metcalf can run the 40 yard dash that fast is incredibly impressive.

"Those reactors continue to spin on, producing more material that can threaten us and our allies".

"We were looking at ways to tighten it up, to stop for example the ship to ship transfers that the North Koreans are using to evade the sanctions, to talk to other countries to make sure they tighten up on North Korea".

Washington and Seoul announced on Sunday that they will eliminate massive annual springtime military drills and replace them with smaller exercises, in what they called an effort to support diplomacy with North Korea.

The White House did not immediately respond to questions about why the hearing would have contributed to Trump's decision not to accept Kim's terms or whether members of the North Korean negotiating team indicated they were aware of the split-screen news coverage in the U.S.

"The reason I do not want military drills with South Korea is to save hundreds of millions of dollars for the United States for which we are not reimbursed", Trump tweeted today.

"I give my advice to the president", he later added.

Moon also cited liaison offices being discussed as an important milestone in the US-North Korea dialogue, saying that a US office in North Korea could set the stage for US experts in verifying future denuclearization measures and provide a stepping stone for normalizing their relations.
