Naomi Osaka Splits From Coach Sascha Bajin

Australian Open women's champion Naomi Osaka has shocked the tennis world after announcing she has split from her coach.

Noami Osaka dropped a bomb on Monday announcing that she and coach Sascha Bajin split.

The 21-year-old was victorious in the Australian Open last month, to add to the US Open title she won in September last year.

During that period she won the prestigious Indian Wells tournament before scooping her first major in NY, while Bajin was named WTA coach of the year. I wish you nothing but the best as well.

Osaka hired Bajin ahead of the 2018 WTA season and the pair didn't take long to click on court.

Bajin responded: "Thank you Naomi I wish you nothing but the best as well".

An ex-ATP tour player, Bajin won 13 Grand Slams while in the Serena camp, including all four major tournaments and a hat-trick of Wimbledon and US Open titles in a partnership that lasted from 2008 to 2015.

Osaka became the youngest woman to make her debut at No. 1 since Wozniacki at 20 in 2010 and the first tennis player from Asia to reach the top of the women's or men's tennis rankings.
