Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has requested a trade away from the team, according to reports from ESPN on Tuesday.

Talent wise, any team would love to bring someone like Brown on board for the 2019 season if they could receive some sort of guarantee that he wouldn't be a headache to deal with.

The receiver posted a goodbye to Steelers fans on social media saying it was "time to move on and forward".

Brown, a four-time All-Pro, has been embroiled in a dispute with the Steelers, who openly have discussed the possibility of trading him. As indicated by our own Dale Lolley, if the Steelers trade Brown, it will likely come between the start of the new league season on March 13 and March 18. The player's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he had expressed his client's "position" to the team but did not elaborate.

Now the attention turns to see what the Steelers do next. Might the Denver Broncos be a potential home for the seven-time Pro Bowler?

He has, however, been involved in problems off the field recently.

The court appearance stems from Brown being caught driving over 100 mph on McKnight Road hours before a game against the Carolina Panthers.

Beyond the reckless driving charge, a lawsuit filed in October alleged that Brown hurled several large pieces of furniture off the 14th-floor balcony of his Florida apartment during an April outburst.
