Real Madrid travel to the Nou Camp on Wednesday evening to face Barcelona in the first leg of the semi-final tie.

Lionel Messi was not included in the starting lineup after picking up a thigh injury during the weekend's draw against Valencia but entered in the second half after Los Blancos had their way with Catalans in the opening period.

He returned to training with the team on Tuesday and had been doubtful for the first leg of the semifinals against Madrid.

The last fixture between these two super clubs resulted in a 5-1 hammering for Real Madrid and triggered Julen Lopetegui's sacking.

The Copa del Rey match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be broadcast live on beIN Sports. He finished the game, but it was unclear if he would be available for this match or if he would play.

If Messi plays it will be because he is fit.

Mijatovic believes Lucas Vazquez should be selected ahead of the Welshman.
