Samsung reveals the notch, features and launch date for Galaxy M

We should start seeing some teasers from Samsung now that it has confirmed the launch of the Galaxy M series in India on January 28.

India will be the first country to launch the new series smartphones, the company said in a statement.

While the firm has yet to spill the beans on the possible spec of the smartphones under the new series, a number of leaks have however given away details specs and renders of the device especially the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20.

While the firm has already scheduled a launch event for the more interesting Galaxy S10, nothing has been heard of the Galaxy M phones in terms of their launch date. Samsung's been losing a lot of ground to Xiaomi over in India as of late, and in an attempt to get things back on track, Samsung has announced that it'll debut its new Galaxy M series on January 28. "This new range has been inspired by millennials and designed in India", Samsung India Senior Vice President Asim Warsi told PTI.

As per earlier reports, Samsung-M series can be priced as low as Rs 9500 for the base variant.

Samsung plans to launch three handsets which will be available exclusively online, at prices starting from less than Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000, as part of a renewed ecommerce push on the part of the South Korean firm to reclaim the top spot from the dominant Chinese rival Xiaomi.

While M20 is expected to have 5,000mAh battery, which will Samsung's first ever tryst in India. Furthermore, these M series smartphones are expected to feature a bigger battery that supports Faster charging as well.

The Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 are said to feature "powerful displays, cameras, batteries, and processors". Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more updates!
