Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has urged rising star Callum Hudson-Odoi to turn down Bayern Munich's advances and continue his career at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been fighting hard to keep hold of Hudson-Odoi, with manager Maurizio Sarri saying he thinks it would be best for the teen to remain at Chelsea.

"As you can understand very well, I cannot tell you where", he said.

Chelsea are reportedly desperate to acquire the signature of Gonzalo Higuain, although the deal remains complicated with both AC Milan and Juventus expected to be involved in the discussions. "The club knows my opinion". "I think at the moment my opinion is important for the club but of course I can not tell you 100% of my opinion".

"In my opinion we need two players, but it's up to the club".

"Then it depends on the club decision".

However, Sarri did effectively confirm it by stating that he wants replacements brought in for Fabregas and striker Alvaro Morata should they leave. "But at the moment he is here, he has to think only to play".

Sarri said: "Of course, if Morata will go to another club we need a replacement".

Hudson-Odoi's future has come under speculation as his lack of playing time with the Blues has made the teenager hesitant to renew his contract, which expires in 2020.

'That is all he needs to do, he has all the conditions to be a great player, now it is up to him to fight for a place here or try to find more minutes somewhere else.
