Kyler Murray expected to enter NFL Draft

It appears as though Kyler Murray, the Heisman trophy victor who plays quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners and was drafted by the Oakland A's of the Major League Baseball 9th overall back in June, is declaring for the NFL draft, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Rosen was the 10th overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Maybe he was just speaking broadly with cliches or a touch of an overstatement, but Kliff Kingsbury once said he'd take Kyler Murray with the No. 1 pick in the draft. Some pundits have him as a possible first-round pick.

Kingsbury was only able to get the head coaching job because head coach Steve Wilks was unceremoniously dismissed after one season since he was unable to develop first-round quarterback Josh Rosen. While declaring doesn't guarantee Murray will play baseball instead of football, but it certainly increases that chance.

If Murray decides to play in NFL especially at the quarterback position teams will expect him to be all in on football and nothing else, that is the only way he will be selected in 1st round if they have those assurances. I've followed him since he was a sophomore in high school.

Miami will have the No. 13 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He also ran for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns. But a quote about Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray from newly hired Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury has been circulating. And if we're to believe ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals could actually be open to trading Rosen - who they drafted 10th overall a year ago - in order to take Murray with the first overall pick in the draft. "I do think he wants to be a great player in this league".

The A's let Murray play college football in the fall, and he exploded with a season that culminated in him winning the Heisman Trophy. "So, I'm excited to develop that relationship".

It's unknown whether Kingsbury was forced to commit to Rosen in taking the job, but Murray's newfound availability could make for some interesting discussions.
