'It is a young bunch of guys and to have that belief to keep striving for excellence on a daily basis and to get a reward like this we definitely have to be happy'.

Australia went into the final day of the series with little hope of achieving the victory they needed to win the Test and draw the series.

Play is scheduled to start 30 minutes early, at 7am Perth time, due to the lost time on day three and four.

The Indian top order, who scored 262 runs in four Test matches, urged the Aussie batsmen to leave their egos at home to win against the Dukes ball.

"It's amusing, in a big series of four Tests you go back to a couple of key moments in the very first Test where we let ourselves down, or India outplayed us, and you get to the end of the series and it's really hard to take", said the wicketkeeper.

India's first ever Test series win in New Zealand came when they toured them in 1968.

The win was India's first outside of Asia or the spin-friendly Caribbean since 2009, and will have meant a great deal to the cricket-mad nation given Australia's status as one of their arch-rivals.

Death Valley Latest National Park Affected by Shutdown
As of January 3, 2019 the partial shutdown has been going on for almost 13 days, now making it the fourth longest in USA history. Rangers were reportedly on scene in less than an hour and the injured man was removed from the water. "It's so heartbreaking.

The tourists, led by magnificent series from batting rock Cheteshwar Pujara and superb slinger Jasprit Bumrah, achieved it in clinical fashion to expose the enormous void left by Steve Smith and David Warner's suspensions and raise questions about the potency of Australia's attack.

It was the third consecutive day in Sydney that was affected by either bad light or rain but that didn't stop a loud group of India's fans cheering, dancing, waving flags and singing in the rain for much of the morning session. "That's why India won this series", said Paine.

'In Perth, I thought we played a very good game of cricket but when we went to Melbourne and Sydney, we've been outplayed in all departments'. If we get to the Ashes next year and Marcus, Travis and Marnus are playing they understand now the pressure and magnitude of the situation on them. Leave alone a three-figure score, none of the Australian batsman could even cross the 80-run barrier, something that legends like Ricky Ponting, Shane Warne, Mike Hussey, Ian Chappell found hard to fathom. Both of those players we know are absolute class, we know they can score a lot of runs.

Australia have Sri Lanka as their next Test opponents before they can fully turn attention towards the World Cup in England. Paine said that the bowling combination did not need any change, but was impressed with the way India were able to change their team as per conditions and opposition.

"Our bowlers at times bowled really well in this series, at times they didn't". The group of bowlers we have in this team have been fantastic for quite a while now. "They didn't have their absolute best series but it's not easy at this level and that can happen".

"At the moment, I do not see Australia having those attributes".
