Prices for tickets to Monday's College Football Playoff title game at the San Francisco 49ers home in Santa Clara, California, have dropped more than 50 percent since last week, according to SeatGeek.

Both teams play in some of the biggest college football hubs in the nation, but instead of hosting the game in the south like they did a year ago in Atlanta, the game will be played in arguably the worst location possible.

Tickets are at their cheapest level since 2016, when the original championship clash between Alabama and Clemson had a "get-in" price of $202. Last year's game, held in Atlanta between Georgia and Alabama, had an average resale price of $2,969 on the preceding Thursday.
