Another popular Cavaliers player is coming "home".

Milwaukee now has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Toronto Raptors by 3.5 games, and managed to save around $18 million in cap space for next season by moving two hefty contracts in the deal.

The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired a first-round pick, a second-round pick, John Henson and Matthew Dellavedova in exchange for George Hill and Sam Dekker in a three-team trade according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly trading the out-of-favour point guard back to Cleveland, where he was part of the 2016 National Basketball Association championship-winning Cavaliers.

Dekker, 24, averaged 6.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.2 steals in nine games (five starts) for the Cavaliers this season.

Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer said he is excited to reunite with Hill; Hill spent the first three seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs, where Budenholzer was an assistant. That was an impetus for getting the deal done now.

Cleveland recently traded sharpshooter Kyle Korver to Utah for two picks in 2020 and 2021.The Cavs are targeting 2020 to land a big-name free agent, and should have plenty of salary-cap space to add one.

"I'm glad my Aussie brother is back", Cavs center Tristan Thompson said of Australia native Dellavedova following a 129-110 loss to Sacramento.

Despite missing a chunk of the season, Hill is a player that will be useful for the Bucks on the court, where his career three-point shooting mark of over 38 percent will see him fit in well with both the Bucks reserves and starters.

"I think it will be good for our team, not just for myself, but for our team".

Dellavedova's arrival will also have an impact on the Cavaliers' boom rookie Collin Sexton. "They say he practices hard, too, so we're going to have some battles". Dekker, who underwent back surgery during his rookie season, has not played since suffering an ankle injury on November 5. "We wish Jason the best moving forward and appreciate the value he brought to our team as a great teammate and true professional".
