‘Mortal Kombat 11’ Trailer Features New 21 Savage Song

The devious Scorpion and the seasoned Raiden fight it off in an epic battle of signature moves. NetherRealm Creative Director and Mortal Kombat Co-Creator Ed Boon teased this new system with the following statement, "Our Custom Character Variation System opens up infinite amounts of options for players to personalize their favorite fighters".

Not a lot of details were given during the clever twist reveal, aside from a January 17 date for a community reveal. Following the game's announcement, a press release was sent out that divulged new information about one of Mortal Kombat 11's most notable features: its custom character variation system. For those unable to attend the event, the festivities and a keynote will be livestreamed on NetherRealm's official Twitch account.

Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive in stores on April 23, 2019.

"By giving players more creative control, Mortal Kombat 11 is a testament to why this iconic franchise is so strong and increasingly relevant after more than 25 years", said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros.

If there was an award for the goriest trailer at The Game Awards then it would definitely have gone to the new Mortal Kombat... which is exactly what fans would've hoped and expected. We don't know much about it yet aside from the game's retail description and the above trailer featuring Scorpion fighting Raiden.

The premium edition of Mortal Kombat 11 comes with the base game, plus the Kombat Pack.
