76ers' Fultz out indefinitely

There's finally an answer for Markelle Fultz.

Although the situation involving Markelle Fultz's shoulder injury is still surrounded by plenty of speculation and rumors, Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown addressed it on Wednesday. The Sixers said the specialists have identified a compression or irritation in the area between the lower neck and upper chest.

Wojnarowski also reported that while the 76ers are calling Fultz out "indefinitely", they believe he can return within three to six weeks.

Fultz has struggled to shoot the basketball since the 76ers made him the No 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Washington.

"There's no way you're the No. 1 pick in the world and all of a sudden your aren't able to consistently raise your arms to shoot", Fultz's agent told ESPN. The team would only say that Fultz is out indefinitely and will begin physical therapy immediately. Although the chances of Fultz ever turning into a contributing member of the Sixers seem extremely thin, there is still an outside chance the team could trade him for something of value as opposed to just releasing him this offseason. Therefore, severely limiting Fultz's ability to shoot a basketball.

Fultz has struggled with injuries during his time in the league and last season finished the season averaging 7.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.
