Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp's wild celebrations after his team's injury-time victor in the Merseyside derby have earned him a charge by the English Football Association.

Klopp ran onto the pitch to celebrate with Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker when substitute Origi punished a mistake by Jordan Pickford by heading home in stoppage time.

"It's a fact, but I can say to (the players) that always these type of records, they exist to break", he said when reminded of Everton's results against their neighbours. I didn't want to run - I couldn't stop. "Not cool, but it happened".

The visitors created more chances their their opponents in the opening 45 minutes with Yerry Mina bundling a header wide - although he was offside - from an early free-kick offering Silva's side all the encouragement they needed.

"Immediately after the game I apologised to Marco Silva when we spoke to each other", Klopp said. But I told him he has done many wonderful things. They are just a really outstanding side.

The Senegal global shined brightest for Klopp's men, in a game where his usually influential teammates Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were both substituted in the last 15 minutes.

The FA says Klopp has been charged with misconduct because of his misbehavior.

"He didn't apologise to me", said the Portuguese.

"We've got some really good players now and the way he wants us to play is to build from the back and you've got Andre (Gomes) coming looking for the ball off you and you know he can handle it and make things happen and I thought he was great again".

However, he has tried not to let that affect him and his reward came by writing his name into derby-day history. "I think this season we are going to do something".

"It was a lucky way to win but that's football". "I'm sure this is what our fans what to see, for us to be ourselves, to fight to achieve a result".

But did you see his shocking miss just moments before that?

Silva said he did not hear an apology from Klopp.

"What I can tell you, like we started the match all together, like we have been working since the first day all together, we finished the match all together".

"It's good we have this one day more and it is not Wednesday - Saturday because that would be really hard".

However, Mainz 05, who Klopp managed for a seven year spell, have now posted a video of how Klopp celebrated a last minute goal while at the club.
