That being the Canvas Bag that Bethesda replaced, without warning or explanation, with an inferior nylon substitute.

First, Bethesda Games's official Reddit account posted an apology to the game's official subreddit. For a $60 product, it simply isn't up to the standards fans expect from Bethesda.

"Unfortunately, due to unavailability of materials, we had to switch to a nylon carrying case in the Fallout 76: Power Armor Edition", Bethesda explained. Players were promised a West Tek canvas bag and instead received. well. let's look at this picture, courtesy of our own Sam Chandler. That's a generous five dollars' worth, which, as noted by PC Gamer's Chris Livingston, won't even buy you the game's postman skin that, ironically, comes with a canvas bag. If you prove you bought the Power Armor Edition, there's some compensation in it. This isn't especially generous - in the game's microtransaction shop, 500 Atoms will cost you $5 United States dollars (£4 GBP), and as this player points out, it won't get you very much.

Understandably, some of the people who spent $200 or more on these goodies are less than happy and took the time to contact customer service.

So Bethesda knew they were changing the bag, said nothing, offered nothing, released the game, and now that fans are complaining that they aren't getting what was advertised and what they paid for, are getting an email that literally says "we hope this doesn't prevent you from enjoying what we feel is one of our best collector's editions".

Atoms are premium in-game currency in Fallout 76. An image from @krcm0209 on Twitter purports to show a response from customer support regarding the Fallout 76 Collector's Edition bag. Currently, there are a few heavily upvoted threads decrying Bethesda's response to what fans say is deceptive marketing. "The bag shown in the media was a prototype and was too expensive to make", said the Bethesda Gear Store Support.

However, this created more anger among the community, as 500 Atoms equates to just $5, while the special edition set cost $200.
