I like it hot.

That is, until I begin to understand the fine print.

Study co-author Andrew Light, an global policy expert at the World Resources Institute, told The Associated Press that releasing the report on Black Friday "is a transparent attempt by the Trump Administration to bury this report and continue the campaign of not only denying but suppressing the best of climate science".

Releasing information on a Friday afternoon or during holidays is widely considered a way to lessen the amount of publicity or attention the "news" might get.

This is not the first time Trump has released a baffling tweet on a crucial topic like climate change.

The report assigns specific expenses to the monumental effects of a warming planet, finding that climate change could slash up to a 10th of the United States' gross domestic product (GDP) by 2100. The report also examines pathways available to limit warming to 1.5C, what it would take to achieve them and what the consequences could be.

Report co-author Katharine Hayhoe says it shows the unsafe weather that scientists said will happen in the United States is already happening.

Compiled by more than 300 scientists, the Fourth National Climate Assessment Volume II is a congressionally mandated report that spans more than 1,000 pages.

The report also said projections of damage could change if greenhouse gas emissions were curbed, although numerous impacts of climate change, like powerful storms, droughts and flooding, have already begun.

He said in a phone interview that the plant closure would have ripple effects well beyond the city of roughly 170,000. Workers said they were creating a blockade, stopping trucks carrying supplies from entering the plant.

Several of its authors say the National Climate Assessment was rushed to release weeks before it was to be unveiled at an annual conference of the American Geophysical Union.

Wildfire seasons - already longer and more destructive than before - could burn up to six times more forest area annually by 2050 in parts of the United States. Crop yields are predicted to drop in the Midwest. As one example of how temperatures are likely to be affected: Phoenix, which experienced about 80 days per year over 100°F around 2000, could expect between 120 and 150 such days by century's end.

The 2018 National Climate Assessment addresses the change in temperatures globally, 'Over climate timescales of multiple decades. global temperature continues to steadily increase'.

Instead, it asserts that warming is occurring, and it's largely caused by humans.

Trump has argued that "raking" forests would mitigate wildfire risk, and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has backed up the president's assertions, claiming that poor forest management was the real risk - not climate change.

"People are going to die if we don't start addressing climate change ASAP". The fires that happened in California, the flooding that is taking place on the coasts, are the result of climate change.

Energy systems will be taxed, meaning more blackouts and power failures, and the potential loss in some sectors could reach hundreds of billions of dollars per year by the end of the century, the report said.

We need to take the reports seriously.
