Burnout claims continue as Novak Djokovic beats Alexander Zverev at ATP finals

With the ITF and ATP on collision course and both seemingly determined to push ahead with their rival events, Djokovic believes it could end up being damaging for the sport.

His return to the ATP Finals on Monday, after missing the 2017 edition because of an elbow injury, offered conclusive proof that the Serb is once again top dog.

"The match was great, obviously", said the 31-year-old.

Isner, at 33 no slouch with ball in hand, put 10 aces past Zverev but had 18 coming the other way and those free points proved the difference in a quickfire match in which there was only one break of serve.

A day after a ceremony to mark ending the season as No. 1, Djokovic underlined his status by nullifying Isner's usually destructive serve. I think the match was much closer than the score says. "I got my ass kicked". But Cilic took the next two to win 6-7 (2), 6-3 and 6-4 in two hours and 14 minutes, reports Efe nws.

The evening session, of course, features two more over-30s in Cilic and Isner, but now the criteria had shifted a little with Djokovic's one-sided scoreline.

I don't need to feed on conflict any more: Kohli
Kohli took over as captain of the Test team for the first time during Shastri's tenure as the Team Director and both of them developed a good rapport.

High-level trade talks with US has resumed, keeping close contact: China

Kim Porter, Diddy's Ex-Girlfriend, Dead at 47
Kim Porter , the model and actress who dated Diddy for several years and had three children with him, has died. Porter also has a 27-year-old son, Quincy , from her former marriage to Al B.

The victory helped the five-times champion to move within sight of the semi-finals.

The Croat's defeat by Zverev - a repeat of his loss to the German 12 months ago - means he is 1-9 for the tournament. The first set was unbelievably tight. "He wasn't close to his best in the second set so it looked a bit easier than expected because he served very well in the first set, but it dropped in the second set and allowed me to step in".

And it proved to be not a very different match, although a slightly below par Djokovic, still apparently carrying the cold virus from Paris, had to dig deep in the latter stages of the first set as a calm and confident Zverev pressed him hard in long baseline rallies.

As in 2014, the first seven singles matches of the tournament have been completed in straight sets. The tournament has only just started.' Rusedski also spoke about Kevin Anderson's stunning win against Kei Nishikori: 'I thought Anderson was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. 'That's where his work in the off-season will come in when he goes with (coach) Ivan Lendl.

The 21 year-old German's victory was the tenth out of 11 that have ended in straight sets, and it was enough to render Friday night's closing group match between Djokovic and Marin Cilic irrelevant to the weekend's line-up.
