Hughie's cousin, Tyson Fury, tweeted a message after the bout.

SHOULD Hughie Fury emerge victorious from his showdown with Kubrat Pulev tonight, Liam Conroy will be able to say he played a small part in helping him prepare.

Anthony Joshua is now eyeing up both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder having successfully defended his heavyweight titles against Alexander Povetkin in September.

All three judges scored the fight in favour of 37-year-old Pulev, who now becomes the mandatory IBF challenger to Anthony Joshua.

While Shonia has 15 wins out of 27 fights, including 11 knockouts, he has lost eight out of his last 10 contests before this one, which might explain why he was unable to get the better of his second opponent of the night.

Death toll in Italy storms rises to nine
The water bus system has been closed by transport officials due to the emergency although it will still run to outlying islands. Luca Zaia, head of the Veneto region, said he was anxious that the situation could be worse than the huge floods in 2010.

Fury, younger cousin of former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, had to contend with a cut eyelid from Round 2 and faded after a promising start.

But it never came, and Fury's early momentum fizzled out as Pulev tried to rough up the Englishman at close quarters.

Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the heavyweight championship in 2014 but lost by KO in Round 5.

It will be in those later rounds that Hughie must display his full repertoire to come away with the victory. If Fury opts to stick with the jab and move he will once again be left fuming with a close points loss, but should he take advantage of his faster hands and let his shots go in combinations, he will have done enough to edge it on the road.
