Apple announces mystery product event

Apple's October 30 event will focus on numerous products which were not upgraded at its big Gather Round iPhone XS launch event. This should be considered a near-term catalyst for unit growth and confidence in management to hit the Street's financial targets has increased. Apple has traditionally unveiled updates to these lines at this time of the year, save for a number of announcements during last year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). There are speculations that the event is for the unveiling of the new iPad Pro. The stock is up 25 percent year-to-date.

Apple is expected to debut new iPad Pro models, plus a refresh for its MacBook lineup.

While giving away little, it is widely expected that the company will be introducing new iPads and MacBooks. So, the upcoming device is most likely to the iPad Pro (2018) with improved Apple Pencil stylus.

Apple is hosting the keynote at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City; the image above is of the current-gen iPad Pro that should be significantly updated.
