An injury time goal from substitute Ross Barkley earned Chelsea a last-gasp 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United on Saturday in a match that ended with United boss Jose Mourinho involved in scuffles.

Chelsea coach Ianni burst out of the bench and pumped his fists in Mourinho's face, prompting the manager to go after him in the tunnel.

Premier League football returns with a bang as Chelsea entertain Manchester United in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho says Maurizio Sarri's second assistant Marco Ianni has apologised to him following their altercation after Chelsea's equaliser. "If you say before the game that one point at Stamford Bridge is a good result, it is so hard to win here but after the game with the way the game was it is an terrible result for us and a phenomenal result for them". What happened with Sarri's assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it.

When Sky Sports asked Mourinho about what happened, he said had told Ianni to "forget it". Now I think it's finished.

Two goals from Anthony Martial had put United on course for victory after Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring in the first half with a header.

I'll take it", Cora said. "He's changed the atmosphere since he's been on board". "I'm thrilled for him that he could do this". I'm happy that David showed up today. "And tomorrow we can turn the page and move on to the World Series with David Price ".

United, who host Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday, showed enough promise to suggest that Mourinho still has the support of his players after weeks of speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

"I think they've got Hazard, who's the best player in the Premier League in most people's eyes, and if you nullify him then you take so much of their threat away".

The United manager taking the moral high ground over this episode will, in all likelihood, only add to the irritation felt at Stamford Bridge that this was an avoidable incident.

Maurizio Sarri's side went in to the worldwide break in fine form having thrashed Southampton 3-0 at St Mary's Stadium but they'll be expecting a much stiffer test against Manchester United this weekend. "We know, Jose! Why does he have to do that?" I understood that we were in the wrong side of the situation. However, in all honesty, getting just one point could be considered punching above their weight given Chelsea's fine display of liquid football.

When the dust settles, though, there is much United and Mourinho can take from this second half - just not a crucial three points.

"We are not organised for that because I do not want us playing for second balls".
