Three workers, Hauwa Liman, Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, and Alice Loksha were abducted by the Islamic sect 7 months ago, and one of them, Saifura, was executed in September.

To register their agony and grievances over the killing of Liman, members of the Bring Back Our Girls group, with family members of Liman and friends held an unusual protest, as they wept uncontrollably while quietly marching to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The official organisation for the Obiageli Ezekwesili's #Hope2019 movement for the Nigerian presidency suspended its pre-campaign activities in honour of Hauwa.

It would be recalled that the Boko Haram group had after killing Liman on Monday, also vowed to enslave Leah Sharibu, one of the Dapchi schoolgirls in their custody forever. "As long as the headship of the nation's security agencies are determined by tribal origin and analogue security chiefs who have their tenures illegally extended, the forage by the insurgents would be hardly contained", the group said.

The ICRC, which does not pay ransoms, has said it was not directly involved in discussions on the extremists' demands. Loksha worked as a nurse at a center supported by UNICEF.

"This is how they have come to be referred to as the #RannWomen".

"We are deeply disturbed, the whole family is disturbed", he said in Hausa, in an interview in the Borno state capital, Maiduguri.

Bosa leaving OSU to prepare for National Football League draft
When taking that variable into effect, Bosa's season ended on September 15 regardless of his likelihood as the No. 1 pick looming. Nick Bosa has played his last snap as an Ohio State Buckeye, a decision that, John Bosa said, did not come easy.

In an emailed statement on Monday, the Nigerian government confirmed the killing, and reacted to criticism that it had not done enough to save the victims by saying: "the Federal Government did all within its powers to save her life".

More than 20,000 people have been killed and two million others forced to flee their homes in northeastern Nigeria since Boko Haram launched a campaign in 2009, aimed at forming a breakaway Islamic state. Saifura is gone. Hauwa is gone.

Mama Hauwa as she is fondly called by many said she believes her daughter is still alive and could not have been killed by the terrorists as threatened.

But the organization had decided not to pay a ransom as it would set a risky precedent for the 16,000 aid workers it deploys worldwide, Patricia Danzi, ICRC regional director for Africa, told Reuters.

Addressing the kidnappers, the group wrote: "We urge you for mercy".

All three women were health workers tending to the humanitarian needs of displaced persons fleeing the insurgency in a restive Northeast region of Nigeria. Nothing can justify this.
