Trump Surveys Hurricane Michael Damage

As the New York Times reported, the 3-story house built by Dr. Lebron Lackey and his uncle Russell King was the only one remaining on his beachfront block and one of the few left standing in the flattened landscape of the Florida Panhandle town. The house survived Hurricane Michael almost untouched. Direct deaths include people slain when they drive into flooded areas and drown or are inside buildings that are knocked over.

There are still 46 people missing in Florida after the chaos of Hurricane Michael last week, according to a new report by ABC News. She says she's been on the phone constantly, seeking information.

"Will be leaving for Florida and Georgia with the First Lady to tour the hurricane damage and visit with FEMA, First Responders and Law Enforcement". More than 190,000 homes and businesses in Florida remain without electricity, along with about 120,000 homes and businesses in Georgia.

This is Trump responding to a reporter asking if the damage caused by Hurricane Michael caused him to rethink his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.

Bay County includes Mexico Beach, the ground-zero town of 1,000 people that was almost obliterated, as well as Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City and Lynn Haven, all of which were heavily damaged.

Trump is fully committed to helping state and local agencies with the recovery, the White House said. "Worst hit in 50 years!" the president tweeted.

"I'm staying out here to try to keep away looters, to try to save what I can save", said Bernard Sutton, a 64-year-old cancer patient, who has been living out of a tent and broken-down minivan in rural Fountain, Florida.

She also says she's gotten death threats since the incident, while community members say they hope the boy is fine. The video itself went viral shortly after it was posted with over 6 million views as of Friday evening.
