In a statement, Kensington Palace said: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019".

The baby will be seventh-in-line to the British throne.

In all, they have 76 engagements scheduled over 16 days in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

Kensington Palace made the announcement this afternoon that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting a baby in the European Spring of 2019.

The tour coincides with the third Invictus Games, an worldwide sports competition Harry founded in 2014 for wounded veterans and members of the military, which kicks off Saturday.

The couple revealed the news to the royal family last Friday, on Princess Eugenie's wedding day.

A visit to Fraser Island will highlight the importance of sustainable tourism.

That speculation intensified when she was seen clutching two large folders in front of her stomach as she arrived in Sydney for the tour, which will also take in Fiji and Tonga.

After the announcement that Harry and Meghan are expecting a baby, Morrison tweeted: "What fantastic news!"
