Now it appears the bookies agree and have made Liverpool favorites to sign Arsenal attacking midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

"It was an important goal for Aaron and an important goal for us", said manager Unai Emery with more than a touch of understatement. The Frenchman opened the scoring midway through the first half, calmly turning and finishing from inside the box before Fulham equalised on the stroke of half time through Andre Schurrle.

Ramsey, on the pitch for less than 40 seconds, started and finished a fine team move with a sumptuous flick while Aubameyang grabbed a brace of his own.

Arsenal are in fourth spot heading into the global break, with growing hopes among fans that they can return to the Champions League next season after missing out for two years.

Lacazette, however, wants to silence any chat of such an achievement and focus on doing the things which have enabled Emery to oversee such a streak.

Earlier this month, Ramsey's representatives Avid Sports & Entertainment Group confirmed he is likely to depart as a free agent at the end of the season after the club chose not to continue discussions over a new contract. "And whether you are expected to win or not, you still have to do so".

No first team player has crossed the divide since Sol Campbell in 2001 and he has been a hate figure ever since for Spurs fans.

Lacazette joined Arsenal last summer for a then-club record fee before that amount was eclipsed in January as fellow forward Aubameyang came in from Borussia Dortmund.

However, when the Uruguayan has been on the pitch Arsenal have scored a staggering 20 goals and conceded just three, highlighting his importance to Emery's squad. "We talk every day and we love working together".
