Barcelona won against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, as Lionel Messi, scored his 103rd goal in the UEFA Champions League with a dominant hat-trick.

But he put that behind him with a handsome free kick in the 32nd minute to open the scoring at Camp Nou Stadium.

Messi and Barcelona are looking to break Spanish rival Real's three-year stranglehold on the Champions League trophy this season.

With this, he overtook Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of most number of hat-tricks. Whereas the second goal was scored by Ousmane Dembele in the 74 minute.

It all started with the five-time Ballon d'Or victor scoring an absolute peach of a free-kick from outside of the box - it was out of this world - but the Argentine seems to have his Barcelona teammates preparing their celebrations before he's even hit the back of the net.

"Messi does extraordinary things and makes them look routine", Barca coach Ernesto Valverde said.

Socceroos defenders Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were unused substitutes for PSV. Barca lead Champions League Group B on goal difference after Inter Milan beat Tottenham 2-1.
