Indicating the release of Gordon will not take place until Monday, the Browns have been fielding trade calls for the services of the wide receiver.

"For the past six years, the Browns have fully supported and invested in Josh, both personally and professionally and wanted the best for him, but unfortunately we've reached a point where we feel it's best to part ways and move forward". Gordon reportedly had told the team his hamstring was bothering him. The Cleveland Browns announced they would release Gordon on Saturday and the reasons why are beginning to trickle out. "If the guy wants to play football, he needs to get into camp sooner than later". He went on to play just five games over the next three years due to various suspensions for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Selected in the second round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft, Gordon exploded onto the scene during his second year, recording 87 catches for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2013 season.

Gordon, of course, wouldn't fix that issue for the Giants and, instead, just give them another impending headache to worry about. Twitter erupted after Gordon's shocking release with fans and reporters weighing in on the transaction that came out of nowhere.

John Kerry blasts Pres. Trump's withdrawal from Paris climate pact

Seahawks will sign ex-Browns LB Mychal Kendricks
An IMDB profile lists him as a former writer on the popular TV series "Black-ish" as well as other movies and TV shows. Kendricks spent six seasons with Philadelphia before signing with the Browns on a one-year deal in the offseason.

He's now missed 2 XP and a FG this game. After missing almost three years of his prime, he played in the final five games last season and compiled 18 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown. Williams returned it 22 yards to the Cleveland 18. Instead of trailing 7-3, the Browns came away tied after Wil Lutz's 31-yard field goal.

"Gordon did not seem to be himself", Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland.com reported on NFL Network. The Saints offense rallied back off the efforts of the defense, only for Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor to make the throw of his life on fourth down and tie the game.
