James Bond 25 has hit a bit of a snag, as the movie's director Danny Boyle has parted ways with the project due to creative differences.

Who had Boyle leaving Bond 25 before the guy who famously (if somewhat sarcastically) said that he'd rather "slash my wrists" than play James Bond again?

Whatever the reason is, this puts the film, which still now has a United Kingdom release date of October 25, 2019, in dire need of someone to helm so that it can get out on time.

Director Danny Boyle attends a news conference to promote the movie "T2 Trainspotting" at the 67th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany, February 10, 2017.

Kerala flood toll reaches 370, rescue operations continue

Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, along with star Daniel Craig, made the announcement that Boyle was exiting the project, which he had been set to direct.

The official James Bond Twitter announced Tuesday that Danny Boyle has parted ways from Daniel Craig's next 007 movie, the now untitled "Bond 25." Why? He had always been in MGM and Eon's sights to board a James Bond movie, dating back to 2012's "Skyfall" and 2015's "Spectre". Production at the legendary Pinewood Studios was slated to start in early December, but now Eon Productions needs to find a replacement director. However, considering Boyle was working on the screenplay with John Hodge this is the best guess at a reason I can come up with.

Of course, Daniel Craig is back as 007 but nothing else is known about the film.
