After a busy summer in the transfer market, reigning champions Barcelona get their new La Liga campaign underway with a home game against Alaves on Saturday night.

Mario Hermoso scored just before half time to put the visitors ahead but his central defensive partner David Lopez put through his own net in the second half.

Against Alaves he got the opening goal with a free-kick that he put underneath the wall and after Coutinho added to the scoring, it was Messi again to take the total to 6,002 with 385 coming from the player.
