Just days after receiving an extended look from the folks at PlayStation UK, Marvel's Spider-Man got a new gameplay trailer on Monday, giving us a look at the upcoming title from Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac Games.

Starring the world's most iconic Super Hero, Marvel's Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation, and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. Feel the full power of a more experienced Spider-Man with improvisational combat, dynamic acrobatics, fluid urban traversal, and environmental interactions.

Funnily, for a "gameplay" trailer, it also shows quite a lot of cinematics, but I'm digressing. After eight years behind the mask, Peter Parker is a crime-fighting master. A rookie no longer, this is the most masterful Spider-Man you've ever played.

By now it's cliche to call a city - particular NY - the real protagonist of a movie, show, or game.

Marvel's Spider-Man releases for PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018. The fact that Insomniac are keeping the story under wraps, however, is likely to come as a relief for fans who'd feared that, in the run up to release, key details from the game's plot would inevitably be spoiled.

"You're Spider-Man!" he says.

Some pieces of footage imply that Oscorp is still messing around with radioactive spiders, so it's possible that Miles or even Mary Jane might get bitten by the end of the game.
