Real Madrid ready to let Kovacic go as midfielder returns to training

Modric has been a driving force behind Madrid's remarkable run in the Champions League in recent years and was equally important as Croatia went all the way to the World Cup Final in Russian Federation.

Having featured for Croatia in the World Cup final in Russia, Kovacic wants a more prominent role in club football.

As things stand, Luka Modrić is said to be leaning towards leaving Real Madrid for Inter Milan.
