Depp is also locked in a legal battle that started a year ago with The Management Group (TMG), who counter-sued Depp after the actor sued its principals Joel and Robert Mandel for allegedly collecting millions in fees without his consent.

TMZ said its attempts for a comment from Depp's representatives were unsuccessful. A judge released Weinstein on the same $1 million bail he posted at his first arraignment involving two other accusers and was allowed to return to his Westport, Conn., home. "The next step was, 'You're going to arrive somewhere with your eyes open and you're going to leave there with your eyes closed.' I couldn't take the pain every day".

The lawsuit says Furman forced Brooks to go beyond his duties and tell Depp himself that shooting had to end. The film's director, Furham, allegedly replied: "Why don't you tell that to Johnny Depp?".

The lawsuit says that when Brooks approached Depp to inform him of the change in plans, Depp screamed and berated Brooks, saying: "Who the fuck are you?"

According to the lawsuit, Brooks claims he was asked to write and sign a declaration stating that he would not sue the production. Brooks also claims Depp smelled of alcohol.

Brooks says that the production team had permission to film until 7pm outside the hotel and until 10pm inside the building. And it's not just for the alleged assault but wrongful termination and retailation as well.

Depp is now involved in another legal battle with ex-managers and is suing his former lawyers after claiming they cheated him out of millions of dollars.

Last year, the actor emerged from a bitter divorce battle with actress Amber Heard, who accused him of domestic abuse.

The film, which was then called LAbyrinth, is based on the book of that name by Randall Sullivan, and chronicles police investigations of the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.
