Republicans block Democrats’ effort to help EPA investigate Pruitt’s ever-growing scandals

In a tweet from Fox News Research, the network's information and analysis team, the outlet laid out a list of the scandals and Pruitt has faced thus far and the prices associated with them.

And that fact should mean that Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt should be headed for the exit sooner rather than later.

Pruitt also faced backlash after a letter to GOP Representative Trey Goudy of SC, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, showed the EPA administrator told an aide to buy an old mattress from Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C.

Their resignations leave Pruitt increasingly isolated at the EPA, where he has lost the confidence of most of the agency's career staff and many conservative political appointees who feel that Pruitt's ethical lapses have done a disservice to the President's agenda. With regard to the Democratic letter, an EPA spokesperson referred requests for comment to Pruitt's outside counsel.

Two of Pruitt's shut aides resigned this week, together with one who was concerned in serving to him together with his actual property search. Connolly is a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and serves as the ranking Democrat on the Subcommittee on Government Operations.

Pruitt's chief of staff, Ryan Jackson, and former top policy adviser Samantha Dravis are due to appear before the oversight committee's investigators later this month.

"I've had the opportunity to know Millan for the last several years as a colleague, friend and trusted partner", Pruitt said.
