Here are the reasons to pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 today, and some of the reasons you should wait to see what Treyarch announces at E3 and in the run up to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 release date in October. This update mostly fixates on a lot of the features directed towards multiplayer. Unlike Black Ops 3, this mode is more "boots on the ground".

Blizzard's Aaron Ponoroff added that Black Ops 4 will be "fully integrated with all of the social features on Battle.net". For example, there is a solo mode where players can play as one of the specialists from multiplayer. Since then, we've seen little details sprout up, including the aforementioned Zombies mode.

Greene has said in the past he does not mind Battle Royale competitors as long as they are not carbon copies of PUBG and bring some kind of new spin on the last man standing formula. Developer Treyarch has revealed that it's still undecided on the player count on the Battle Royale mode and it also explained why it ditched the single-player mode.

There will be no thrust jumping or wall running, a major shift from other recent futuristic Call of Dutys like Black Ops III and Advanced Warfare, which were disliked among some fans.

Like Destiny 2, PC play will be exclusive to Blizzard's Battle.net service.

This announcement came as part of the official Call of Duty Black Ops 4 reveal event held earlier today. Weapon recoil and knockback for Black Ops 4 on PC was also designed for those playing with keyboard and mouse controls. Neglecting to include a single-player campaign, which has distinguished the Black Ops franchise, is a huge slap in the face to gamers.

The PC version will have an uncapped framerate and will support HDR, 4K and ultrawide monitors.
