Houston has a lot going for it in the Western Conference finals, including homecourt advantage, two legit superstars and a 2-1 record against the Warriors this season.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was a solid role player in his day as a three-point specialist, winning five National Basketball Association championships over the course of his 15-year career. He still was a -7 in the plus-minus category because the Warriors were so good.

"It's a great start". Thompson, one of his generation's top shooters, was just too open too often in scoring 28.

By contrast the core, homegrown Warriors already have two rings, and Durant got his previous year, at LeBron's expense, while showing us that it was Russell Westbrook, not Durant, who was impossible to win with. "We've been in every situation". The result of their regular season series with the Rockets (2-1, Houston) didn't matter.

Harden carried the Rockets offensively in Game 1. "We ran out of gas a little bit in different spots and they didn't". Houston also has a talented big man to defend the rim and attack the boards in Clint Capela, and they have an MVP-caliber superstar in James Harden. While you can't expect huge numbers, Looney as scored at least 13.75 fantasy points in his last six games. "We just tried to take their best punch and keep fighting". The Beard scored a game-high 41 points on 14-of-24 shooting overall and 5-of-9 from 3-land to go along with seven assists.

"Everybody always wants to point out me and James, but he's the X-factor", Paul said.

Manchester United beat Watford 1-0 on Carrick's farewell
After 19 years in the professional game, Carrick's legs are not what they used to be, but his football brain is as sharp as ever. I am sure he will teach me a few things and we will have some success in the near future, I am certain of that.

Game 1 could determine the Rockets' season.

"This Houston team never stops". "They are always in the game with 3-point shots. But I do like who we are, what we've done and where we can go".

Monday, May 14: Golden State at Houston, 9 p.m.

The Rockets rediscovered their offense after that, scoring the next eight points, powered by 3s from Gordon and Gerald Green, to get within 85-80 with about a minute left in the quarter.

It's pretty easy to say that the hardest challenge Golden State has faced during this four year stretch was the one team that has beaten them. "They are champions for a reason". They anticipated correctly that their star power and healthy roster could handle a team constructed mainly to beat them.

"KD was on. We can live with that".
