Minecraft Crossplay And Achievments Coming To Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch Edition game is now available on the Nintendo Switch system, this June will see the universal Minecraft Bedrock Engine come to the platform, along with a new physical version coming to stores at a suggested retail price of $29.99.

The Better Together update for Minecraft sought to unite the many different platforms under one banner a year ago, but the Nintendo Switch was left out of the party to begin with - and Sony turned down their invitation, as we all know. Sony isn't getting in on the crossplay action.

With Minecraft on Nintendo Switch, players can take the newest version of the massively popular game wherever they go.

It also features Marketplace which will allow players and creators to buy and sell maps, texture packs and unique skins which will be available on all platforms having the Bedrock update.

As is the case with Minecraft on any Bedrock platform, Minecraft on Nintendo Switch will now also support achievements and Gamerscore, reflecting players' activities and experiences within the game and allowing them to compare stats with friends.
