For Fiscal Year 2019, ending March 31, 2019, the publisher expects net revenue of approximately $5.600 billion.

As part of its earnings report today, EA confirmed that those are the two big games launching in the second half of its fiscal year, which runs through March 2019.

I talked last time about Anthem being "a story you can experience with friends".

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson shared his excitement towards Anthem's release, describing it as a " a new universe with unique stories that BioWare is creating to the cooperative gameplay to the epic and handsome environment that constantly evolves around players". Anthem will be a service game at its core with social-based elements, but unlike games like, say, Destiny, the in-game world will apparently be less static and will "constantly evolve around players". Due to this late release in the fiscal year and Anthem being new IP, the publishers are being conservative about their estimates. BioWare needs Anthem to be a hit after stumbling with Andromeda, and EA's statement claims that it wants to "work with players to make Anthem a game they can't wait to play".

As Gamespot noted, the way Wilson put it seems to suggest that he is not just referring to the early play access that is granted to EA/Origin Access subscribers, especially since that means that players would only be able to provide feedback from five days' worth of checking out the game.

EA credits its financial success for 2018 to expanding reach of its "leading franchises" including FIFA, Battlefield and The Sims, "to more players across more platforms and geographies".

Now, beta and alpha tests are nothing new for EA games. "Anthem represents one way to deliver innovation and new experiences in the spirit of our mission". "It is fast, dangerous, lovely and unexpected", EA's Patrick Soderlund said at EA Play in June. Hudson said the team will share details on how it works "very soon". "To accommodate that, we are moving the launch date for this project into FY19".
