Bellew beats Haye again in British heavyweight grudge match

A former Unified World Cruiserweight Champion and former Heavyweight World Champion with some great names and devastating knockout on his resume, surely there is nothing left to prove?

The Londoner said he needs to review the fight before making a decision but it will not make pretty viewing. He's a great champion, and I enjoy the battle.

"Bellew had since their first fight suffered the death of his brother-in-law Ashley Roberts, and having also spoken of his desire to fight the great Andre Ward, he said: "(It has been) the most disgusting eight months of my life.

Ward, 34, retired with a ideal 32-fight record in September and was regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world having won world titles at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight. Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn was unsurprisingly quiet on what the future holds in store for the fighter. "I love my family so much and this was for them, too".

"I've been blessed, man", the American told FightHype. I know I can do it. He is Bernard Hopkins, just 20 years younger, but there are ways to beat him.

Backing away, Bellew seemed to be waiting for his moment to counter in the second, but Haye landed another heavy right hand and both raised their arms defiantly. I'd love to knock Tyson Fury out.

"Timing is everything in this sport".

"I just left it for him and I know he was there".

Round 3 and Bellew started to exert some pressure.

"He's big, he's elusive and he's fast for a heavyweight but he isn't as fast as David Haye". I dedicate this fight to Ash.

Round 5: Haye sticks to being in the center of the ring as Bellew moves around.

"He goes down as a better fighter than me", said Bellew ringside, "but I won, against all the odds". Haye got back up and tried to throw wild punches at Bellew which left him wide open for another knockdown as time expired in the third round, giving Haye a second knockdown. He was boxing very good, and I didn't.

The achilles injury that Haye suffered in the first fight appeared to cause him problems once again, particular after Bellew felled him in the third round.

Despite struggling until the knockdown, the 35-year-old said: "I was waiting for the flawless moment". "He has never been out on the floor like that with shots to the chin". Victories over John Ruiz and Audley Harrison put him on a collision course with Wladimir Klitschko, the IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion. I can't even put it into words.
