Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed club legend Yaya Toure will depart from the Premier League champions at the end of the season.

And as Guardiola prepared his side to face Huddersfield on Sunday and Brighton on Wednesday in two home games, the manager confirmed that the Ivory Coast global will be leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Toure joined City from Barcelona, when Guardiola was in charge there, in 2010 and missed a part of last season following a public spat between his agent Dimitri Seluk and the Spaniard.

And according to Paul Hirst of The Times, Yaya has made his preference for next season clear and that is to stay in England with another Premier League club. "Where we are now is because of what he has done". "He was a key player for Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini".

"The Brighton game, we will give him what he deserves".
