Well, later this week, we'll finally get to know a little more about it. So it's pretty much confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel and will chronicle the story of the some of the protagonists in the first game and their lives in the past.

A new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer is scheduled for 1.00 am AEST on 3 May, Rockstar Games has advised. Perhaps Rockstar would use this trailer as an opportunity to shed light on this aspect of the game.

Fans who completed the original Red Dead Redemption will be familiar with Dutch van der Linde and his gang, a group that gravelly-voiced cowboy John Marston attempted to extricate himself from.
