On Tuesday, the Golden Knights completed a four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Kings, winning every game by a single goal and holding the Kings to three goals in the entire series. Brayden McNabb scored against his former team in the second period, lifting Vegas to a 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Kings that made the Golden Knights the first expansion team in National Hockey League history to sweep its first playoff series.

The Golden Knights now wait to see which team it'll face in the second round, with the San Jose Sharks leading 3-0 over the Anaheim Ducks. At this point, we should no longer be surprised by what they do, and maybe they really do have a legitimate chance to make a run at the Stanley Cup.

The Golden Knights had modest goals in their first season.

Brayden McNabb scored against his former team in the second period and Fleury stopped 31 shots as the Knights finished off their fourth one-goal victory of the series. After two losses, Doughty claimed there's no way Vegas would be better than the end of the season, which he was right about, as the Kings went on to beat them in the final two regular season games. The Senators limited the Philadelphia Flyers to two goals in a 4-1 series win in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. It was the goalie's second shutout of the playoffs.

It was the 66th career playoff victory for Fleury, which moved him past Dominik Hasek into 11th place on the NHL's all-time list for playoff wins for a goaltender.

McNabb netted the first playoff goal of his career 4 minutes and 4 seconds into the second period. "They were all one-goal games, right?" Fleury survived a tense third period at Staples Center.
